National Forestry Resources Research Institute
The National Forestry Resources Research Institute (NaFORRI) is the National Agricultural Research Institute (NARI) mandated to undertake research in all aspects of forestry. Research in NaFORRI aims at increasing the benefits derived from trees and forests through conservation and sustainable management of the forest and tree resources. The headquarters of NaFORRI are located at Kifu, 12 km on Mukono – Kayunga Road.
Vision:
To be the Centre of excellence spearheading forestry research for improving livelihoods, economic growth and natural resource conservation.
Mission:
To generate and disseminate appropriate technologies on forests and tree resources for increased productivity, conservation of biodiversity and enhanced environment.
Objective:
To enhance scientific innovations, skills, information and policy advice for increased productivity, conservation and sustainable use of forests and tree resources.
