Agricultural Research and Extension Trust (ARET) is Malawi’s premier institution in tobacco research and technology dissemination. It is primarily concerned with development and dissemination of tobacco technologies, as its activities are sanctioned and funded by tobacco growers.  ARET interacts with tobacco farmers and the farming business community in general in and through the following areas:

• Extension Services
• Advisory Service
• Seed and seedling sales and information dissemination through special news and events
• Meetings & outreach seminars,
• On-farm farmer training courses and formal farmer training courses .
