Vision and Mission
The CNSF's vision is to "maintain itself as a center of excellence for research on FGR in general and on forest seeds in the Sudano-Sahelian subregion in particular"
From this mission, there are four specific objectives related to research:
- to support the programs of restoration of the vegetal cover by the production of seeds of good quality and to ensure the diffusion of it;
- to contribute, in connection with the National Center for Scientific and Technological Research (CNRST), to scientific research on local forest species, their extension and the control of seed conservation and germination conditions;
- contribute to the conservation of biological diversity through the development of conservatories (in and ex-situ);
- contribute to rural self-promotion through a sustained transfer of technical knowledge to the rural world.
