Cotton SA was created after the Cotton Board was dissolved at the end of 1997 under the Marketing of Agricultural products Act, 1996. Cotton SA represents all role-players in the cotton industry. It operates as a non-profit company performing various essential functions: Providing information, Stimulating the production and use of cotton, Enhancing the marketability of cotton through research, quality standards and norms and training in this regard and Acting as an industry forum.
