Eldoret Grains Limited mills began its journey in 1987, in the town of Mwingi and after successfully completing the construction of its milling facility in Eldoret and commenced commercial operations in ; 1998,where they launched their very first product Premium Maize Flour in 2Kg, 1Kg and 500grams to the market. Home-Baking Flour in 2Kg, 1Kg and 500grams packets was then introduced a decade later to the market and the company has since then enjoyed substantial growth over the years, securing both consumer loyalty and rapidly increasing brand presence across the rift and other regions of the country.
EGL is located at the home of champions, Eldoret, Iten road near Kipchoge Stadium. The mill is installed with state of art technology equipment and with its most modern roller mills in the region, it has the capacity of 600 ton of Maize and 600 ton of wheat per day.
In 2018, the company rebranded its logo and packaging and expanded its retail range to include Atta- Mark 1, Chapati, Self- raising, Mandazi and Superior Maize Meal (EGL Dola Gold) flour in 2Kg and 1 Kg packets. We renewed our focus on strategic expansion and operational efficiency, which paved the way for the company’s continued growth.
