Promote and develop agricultural technologies and institutions that will contribute to poverty reduction, food security and environmental sustainability;
Collaborate with education institutions in the development and training of qualified agricultural scientists and technicians;
Participate in the formulation of the nation’s agricultural policy by contributing its intimate knowledge of the farming communities.
