Acronym: 
IPME

The Institute for the Mastery of Energy is a university organization of training and research of the University of Antananarivo administratively attached to the Presidency of the University and pedagogically to the Faculty of Sciences. It has two main missions to accomplish, having a logical following:

  • Pursue and develop energy research and training programs.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of an ecologically sustainable energy policy.

ACTIVITIES

  • Studies on energy resources such as geothermal, wind, solar. It also intervenes on energy savings, particularly on the thermal insulation of homes, boilers and heat exchangers. . .
  • Services: energy diagnosis, rehabilitation of energy installations, project management.
  • Contributions to national programs:

o Energy I then Energy II 
o PAE (ONE) 
o Mini-projects (Japanese donation) 
o PSM (Global Solar Program)

  • Organizations and / or participations in scientific meetings and cultural events such as exhibitions and conferences.

The members of the EMI belong to the teaching and research structures to which they are assigned. The staff is distributed in the different technical departments and
scientists.
Apart from teaching duties, the members of the EMI are called upon to continue research or to intervene on the ground in a framework of convention.
