As an Institution of Higher Education and University, the ISDR-T has three missions, namely:
- Train men and women, able to awaken, organize, accompany, plan, support, save the human, economic and social development of rural communities;
- Collaborate in the study of human, social, economic and organizational problems that arise in rural areas;
- Provide as much documentation as possible on all aspects of life in rural areas.
