The Laboratory of RadioIsotopes (or LRI) is a research laboratory attached to the University of Antananarivo: The LRI-Agronomy has 3 main missions

  • Education and training: As a university institution, the LRI must participate in the training of Malagasy students but also students of various academic backgrounds. This training is done through the courses of engineer and / or Master, and by the preparation of a doctoral thesis,
  • Research: The laboratory is divided into two research units "Soil and Climate Change" and "Bioavailability of Nutrients",
  • Expertise: As the laboratory is endowed with several resources (human, material, scientific) in terms of soil analysis and agronomic research, it provides the community with analytical and agronomic expertise

Thus, the LRI-Agronomy aims to:

  • Conduct scientific research related to the development of Madagascar,
  • Develop research methodologies using radioisotopes,
  • Train senior managers (engineers, researchers, doctors,),
  • Provide soil and plant analysis services.
