The idea of establishing the University emerged in 1984.A number of dedicated Sudanese
citizens, especially from Omdurman, pledged to fulfill the dream of establishing the
University Colleges the nucleus of the University. The study began in November 1986.
Then the College moved to the current location at Hamadeneel area in 1993.The College
was then upgraded to University status in 1995. Faculties and Centres:
