Created in 1971, SOCOLAIT is a dairy industry leader on its market in Madagascar. SOCOLAIT is part of a real analysis of the needs of the consumer to best meet the expectations of the market.
The plant, based in Antsirabe, develops and professionalises a network of 11 collection centers that gather more than 1400 breeders in the region Vakinankaratra, which allows today to manufacture 100% of its range of fresh products based on fresh milk and 33% on its long-life product line.
Support for the sector through an internal veterinary service at SOCOLAIT works in close collaboration with the various stakeholders to improve milk yields and milk quality.
SOCOLAIT guarantees consumers the quality of its products: at each stage of production, an equipped laboratory assures the analyzes and controls respecting international food standards through HACCP processes, certified since October 2014, and ISO 22000 since November 2016, SOCOLAIT works also in partnership with the Institut Pasteur for the sanitary control of products.
All these controls, the involvement of the company in the implementation of ISO certification, will allow SOCOLAIT to engage in a conquest of the export market, to promote Malagasy industry to outside.
