"Wienco Ghana Limited (Wienco) is an agricultural commodity trading company established since 1979. Initially trading in agricultural inputs, the company separated its input trading business to its sister-company RMG Ghana Limited (RMG), aligning with international best practices, and allowing for a more focused approach that results in providing enhance agricultural marketing solutions.
On the commodity platform, Wienco currently trades in high quality rice, maize and cotton. Efforts are also ongoing in developing a model for trading in vegetables, having started with onions on pilot basis in the Northern region. The brand name for the produce is Aduanehene (meaning “the king of food”), with commodities such as Aduanehene rice, Aduanehene white and yellow maize and Aduanehene onion.
Ghanaian smallholder farmers form a key segment in the agricultural value chain. Wienco has various partners and subsidiaries across the country, notably Masara N’arziki, COPA Connect, Wienco Cotton, Cocoa Abrabopa Association, Kumankoma Company Ltd etc. Our subsidiaries continue to provide agricultural input and welfare services to farmers. Masara N’arziki is located in Northern Ghana and is the main supplier of high quality, locally produced Aduanehene white and yellow maize which is non-GMO. Aduanehene maize is patronized in the open market, food processing companies, poultry farmers and feed producers. "
