Mission
UMN's mission is to produce and disseminate knowledge to train qualified citizens and professionals, committed to sustainable development in Angola, specifically emphasizing:

• Human, cultural, scientific and technical formation;
• Conducting fundamental and applied research;
• The preservation and enhancement of its scientific, cultural, artistic and natural heritage;
• Cooperation with the society of its academic region and of the country in general, in a perspective of reciprocal valorization;
• The cultural, scientific and technical exchange with similar institutions, national and foreign;
• The contribution, in its scope of activity, to international cooperation and the approach of the peoples, with particular emphasis on the Portuguese-speaking countries and the SADC countries.
