The Higher Institute of Information and Communication is the oldest Moroccan university institute for training in journalism and communication. It is the only public educational institution in this field.

The mission of ISIC is:

- provide theoretical and practical training for senior staff in the media and communication fields of organizations, to serve in media institutions, public administrations and institutions, local authorities and the private sector;

- to organize courses of further training and continuing education in the fields of its specialization through seminars, symposia and training courses;

- contribute to the development of professional practice in the fields of media and communication;

- to promote scientific and academic research in these fields;

- carry out studies for the benefit of administrations, public institutions, local authorities and the private sector, as well as opinion polls and media campaigns in various fields in collaboration with national or foreign organizations.
