The Higher Institute of Medical Techniques, ISTM-Kinshasa is a public institution of higher education and university located in the heart of Africa in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It exists since 1972 and trains professionals in health, in accordance with the ordinance law n ° 81 - 015 of October 3rd, 1981.
The Higher Institute of Medical Technology has 10 sections, namely: Nursing Sciences (SI), Management of Health Institutions (GIS), Laboratory Techniques (LABO), Imaging (IM), Physiotherapy (KINE), Nutrition-Dietetics (ND), Community Health (ODS), Hygiene and Sanitation (HA), Pharmaceutical Techniques (Ph), and Midwife (SF).
The mission of ISTM Kinshasa is to train specialized managers in the fields of sciences and medical and paramedical techniques. But also, to organize the research on the adaptation of the new techniques and technologies to the conditions of the Democratic Republic of Congo and to confer legal ranks in accordance with the legal and regulatory provisions on the academic graduation.
