Institut National des Sciences et Techniques Nucléaires

Acronym:
INSTN

The National Institute of Nuclear Science and Technology (INSTN-Madagascar) is a research and training institute working in the field of nuclear science and technology and its peaceful applications.
The Institute is the extension of the Laboratory of Nuclear Physics and Applied Physics (LPNPA) of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Antananarivo, which was founded in 1976 from scratch (without laboratory, without technicians, without students) by Professor RAOELINA ANDRIAMBOLOLONA, Director General from 1992 to 2016.
Given the success achieved by the LPNPA, it was transformed into INSTN-Madagascar by government decree No. 92/869 of September 30, 1992. The Malagasy government has given it a national stature and administrative and financial autonomy. This is the cornerstone of taking off the life of the Institute for its future.
Currently, the institute's activities are increasingly integrating nanoscience and nanotechnologies.
