With solid postgraduate training and diverse work experience, Nega is a well-seasoned professional working at the crossroads of agriculture, natural resources and climate change. His more than 11 years’ experience spans research, policy and practice domains with geographic focus in Ethiopia and Africa region. Having career objective of providing value-added research and development service, his major thematic areas of interest include Sustainable and climate smart agriculture, food security, Rural livelihoods and development, Climate change adaptation and resilience building, Natural resources management, Indigenous institutions and development, Project and program management, Knowledge management and learning, and Research management. He worked with wide range of institutions including NARSs, NGOs, UN agencies and Regional organizations including UNECA who work towards pro-poor agricultural transformation and climate resilience with geographic focus on Ethiopia and Africa. Last not least, he published on natural resources management and climate change adaptation areas.
